Guests

Our guests left us yesterday. There was during the whole Christmas a very nice atmosphere in the house. The
family ´s did spend there free time with cross country skiing, down hill skiing and walking.  We have had all kind of weather types including a storm, that was not nice.

During preparations for one of the meals did Karin cut herself in the thumb. It didn´t stop bleeding so she was forced to visit the first aid from the hospital and now she has 6 stitches in her thumb.

ÍT´S CHRISTMAS TIME

Yes, Santa Claus did pay us a visit yesterday. He came with horse and sledge and brought presents for our guests and our children. And then is was time for our traditional Christmas buffet with dishes as pickled herring, graved salmon, smoked salmon,  Christmas ham, leg of lamb, elk, dried reindeer, spare ribs, meatballs, different kind of cheese, chokolate. Our guest were very satisfied

And this morning at 6 am did Pierre and Lena arrive with horse and sledge to bring our guests to the church. Long before the reach us could we here the bells from the horses. Candles light all along the road.

Merry Christmas

Today arrive our guests. In total 5 family´s and they come from Sweden. So we have to prepare the last things before they arrive.

On the menu for to night: 

rich elk soup

 tomato soup with rice, feta and basil 

 home baked lingonberry bread.

We want to wish you a Merry Christmas.

Dick is some times a bus driver for Idrefjälls Buss och Taxi. Yesterday Anki and Leife came by and brought us a Christmas package. Thank you!

COLD!

It´s cold, -18 gr. It´s beautiful in nature with the  frost on the trees.

Christmas preparations

Guests with Christmas so time to prepare some things. Today it´s time for the Christmas ham, meatballs and cakes.

We have little gifts for the guests, they are already packed and placed under the Christmas tree. We hope Santa Clause will pay us a visit on Christmas Eve.

Playing in the snow

Today is was time to play in the snow. Together with our guests, adults and children did we play with sleddge. When we were cold and hungry did we made a fireplace, grilled marshmallows with hot chocolate as drink. A very succesful activity!

We offer during winter time every wednesday between kl 12:30 and kl 14:30 snowplay and fun att Turistgården. We do  experements with snow, play in the snow and will take a break with somting to eat and drink.  Please kontakt us for more information : +46 253 10437 or stf@turistgardensarna.com
A warm welcome!

Turistgården Särna, norra Dalarna Sverige

Hello, Welcome on Turistgården, ECO HI Hostel in Särna, north Dalarna in Sweden.

Here you stay in a small family hostel. You don´t have to take with you sheets because we already made your bed. Here you will get a good night sleep because we have good beds. We only rent out rooms so you don´t share your room with people you don´t know.We serve ECO breakfast but there is a  kitchen so you can take care of this self.

We have snow but it´s not cold ( -2 gr). If you want to try slalom: Idrefjäll and Fjätervålen will you find close to us. Also cross country skiing. Why not the vasalopet in Sälen?
